Case Study: D’Alessandro implemented Bellarmine’s “Vision 2020” Capital Campaign to raise $25,000,000. Bellarmine is committing half of the funds raised to endowment and the other half to renovation of its existing facilities. The lead gift in this campaign is $3,750,000, which makes it one of the largest cash gifts to a private Catholic high school in the country. Bellarmine has accepted the challenges their campaign logo represents by preparing its students for 21st century leadership that is responsive to a global society, centered in Christ, and based on justice for all humankind. Over $18,000,000 has been raised. Our last campaign effort at Bellarmine (1992-1997) netted $8,600,000 for this school.

Case Study: With over 600 students in grades K-8, this elementary school wanted to add four years of high school to its school. Out of space, it knew it needed to find some land and determine if it could build a separate high school facility. D’Alessandro conducted the feasibility study to determine the community’s acceptance of a private Christian high school and their willingness to support it. D’Alessandro conducted their first ever capital campaign, “Growing, Building and Believing, which raised $1,800,000 to build Phase I of the high school. Additionally, a donation of land valued at $600,000 for the sites of the school was received and D’Alessandro established the school’s first development program. There is currently a wait list to attend the new high school.

Rockhurst Jesuit High School
Case Study: In 1996, Rockhurst Jesuit High School asked D’Alessandro to develop and implement a campaign strategy for its “Defining Moment” Capital Campaign. Rockhurst embarked on a seven-year fundraising campaign to enhance academic excellence and ensure its position as a regional and national leader in education, teaching, and service. Expectations were initially set between $5,000,000 – $7,000,000. After in-depth prospect research and cultivation, D’Alessandro, working directly with the President, raised $14,000,000. D’Alessandro personnel and the Development Department worked as a team, without volunteer solicitation, to achieve this goal. The campaign resulted in the complete renovation of the campus, including the addition of a chapel, a new football stadium, and baseball and soccer field. Enrollment has increased from 600 to over 1,000. This school has raised over $19,500,000, and is continuing its major gifts efforts.
Rockhurst University
Case Study: D’Alessandro completed a Feasibility Study for Rockhurst University to conduct its largest campaign ever. As a result of the study findings, the Board of Trustees of the University unanimously agreed to move forward with a $50,000,000 capital campaign, with D’Alessandro acting as initial counsel to the campaign effort. The “Excellence in the City” campaign provides an opportunity to address tomorrow’s challenges today in the true spirit of Jesuit education and service. Renovation, construction and beautification of Rockhurst’s campus will create the residential and recreational environment and programs needed to attract the finest students in the country. The University raised over $60,000,000 million for this campaign.
